More details to this question:
Hi please help! I’m 2013 I asked my husband to co-sign a car loan for a friend of mine, unfortunately she hasn’t been making her payments and the car has been repossessed, however the monthly payments didn’t go away. Since she hasn’t made anymore payments my husband is held responding for lying off the balance. He has been served a summons stating that he has 20 days to pay the balance or he has to obtain a lawyer to go to court. We cannot afford or lawyer or the payment! How can we move forward with this situation or can you please help?

You are going to have to settle the case, or get a judgment.  If you ignore this, there will be a judgment.  You can sue your friend but your husband must pay.
