i read my neighbors mail by accident can i be sued

More details to this question:
My neighbors credit card statement was delivered to my box and I opened it and read it before realizing it wasnt mine. I took it to her and apologized but she is threatening to sue me for invasion of privacy. Can she sue me?

Anyone can sue anyone for anything, but that doesn't mean that your neighbor would win.  You did not act intentionally, and your neighbor suffered no damages.  I did the exact same thing last night, but apparently my neighbor is more reasonable than yours.  I wouldn't worry about it.
