If someone buys you a car can they take it back

I was given a car as a gift and then once he got mad and started threatening to take it back I started making the payments just so he would leave me alone. I have made every payment for the vehicle since it was purchased except one. He is threatening to take the car back and now is taking me to court over it. Can he take it back if I can prove it was bought for me as a gift.

If you can prove that your ex gave you the car as an unconditional gift, the court will not allow him to take it back.
