Movers damaged 3 of 4 items they moved. What recourse do I have?

More details to this question:
I moved from one place to another. I hired movers to move 4 items. A refrigerator, 2 recliners, and a butcher block. The refrigerator got damaged somewhere between taking it out the door and getting it into the new place. The movers brought a pickup truck instead of the enclosed trailer that they promised in the email. It was raining and they didn't have plastic to cover it. They had to stop at the store down the street to get some. They didn't secure it well and the recliners got soaked!! We have contacted them. We had no contract and they don't want to take care of the problems they have caused. They damaged 3 of the 4 things they moved. I asked for the money for a new bottom door that they damaged as well as the kick plate that they didn't leave when they brought the refrigerator in. I also asked for the moving fee back because they damaged 3 of 4 items they moved.Their name was Bald Eagle Moving and cleaning from Lenoir City, TN and my name is Valerie Titlow.
