My brother passed away a month ago today on his 26th birthday,he was not married, not working and not in school. He did have some physical things. I want to know if i have any rights to any of his physical things? The situation in specific that I am looking for help with is his car. His car was bought through a used dealership and had a loan on the car. The week after he passed my father went and paid off the loan for $10,000 to avoid it being repossessed. If I had the option I would have paid the loan and taken the car for my fiancé and I. However I was not consulted what so ever. Now there is emotional barrier between my parents and my brothers living girlfriend that is not allowing them to sell me the car now for the paid price. Do I have any rights to the car or any of his other things?
