Email recieved. Wanted info regarding arrest of possession of paraphernalia in 2003 that was dropped. Ex was having affair. Planted by said female and called cops to pull me over. State attorney dropped charge! This is ridiculous. I was a 3.0 student single mom with no child support, used loans and scholarships!

Based on your posting, it sounds like the State of Illinois wants information regarding the arrest and proof that it was dismissed. Assuming that the arrest was in Illinois, and possibly the same county, that is information that can be cooberated by a certified copy of the disposition.     More importantly, as you move forward in your carreer, and the case was dismissed, you should go through the process of getting the arrest expunged or sealed, depending on your arrest history.     I know that this is an upsetting situation but that is why people retain attorneys, so that the lawyers can dispassionately address the legal issue at hand without creating additional problems. Please contact an experienced attorney as soon as possible.     This posing is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice nor create an atttorney-client relationship between the parties.
