More details to this question:
I was living with a woman for the past 8 years. I have built several buildings on her property do I have a right to ask to be paid for my work on these She has dissolved the relationship.

You can. You may have to sue her under the concepts in the law of "in quantum meruit" (for value of the work done) and/or "unjust enrichment" (i.e. she benefitted from your labor and you didn't receive anything in return). She could argue you did the work as a gift or goodwill gesture.
