pension claim

More details to this question:
myhusband was applying retirement, he made a option B for me ,that mean I should get a monthly payment ,he was filed on 12/13/2013 and according to the website they have received that final letter on 03/17/2014 and his retirement dat was 07/01/2014,but his case did not finished until he death,(he death on 09/01/2014).so the NJ state of the treasury department only return of his contributions plus interest for me .I can not receive the option B !!! is that right ?
