QUESTION

Refused at US embassy interview?!!!

Asked on Jul 08th, 2021 on General Practice - Arizona
More details to this question:
I'm a spouse of a US citizen and I got refused at my interview at the US embassy because me and my husband are first-cousins and marrying first-cousins isn't allowed in the state my husband lives in (Arizona). Keep in mind we didn't get married in Arizona. We didn't even get married in the US. We got married in Oman, the same country I got interviewed in. What do you advise me to do Thank you for your time

Some states in the USA allow cousin marriages, and if you make plans to live in those states, The US government may allow you to immigrate based on your filing of a waiver application. More facts would be needed to know before an opinion can be made. Discuss with counsel here in the USA.
