QUESTION

Slander

Asked on Jun 14th, 2016 on General Practice - California
More details to this question:
Within the past year 2 of our neighbors have informed us that another neighbor we know well has gone to them unsolicited and maligned us stating we are horrible people and neighbors. We know this individual well as we lived next door to her for 8 years. She was a hateful and abusive person. She moved but still lives in the neighborhood. When driving by her house if she is out front she purposefully glares at us as we drive by. Is there any legal recourse for this slander?

What you've described does not sound like slander, but rather the statement of an opinion, which is not actionable.
