QUESTION

Taking money from wallet and leaving

Asked on Nov 14th, 2021 on General Practice - Connecticut
More details to this question:
I had a lapse of judgement after a couple of drinks. Found a wallet on a casino floor. Took the money and turned it in. They found me later and had me return the money. Lesson learned and I apologized and explained my behavior. No excuse for it of course and I fessed up. Morbid curiosity: what would’ve happened if I left before they found me?

There are cameras everywhere in a casino.  They have a great deal of technology and would likely have no trouble finding you.  It is absolutely one of the worst places you can committ a crime. The only question is, how much did you take? That is, would it be worth their trouble to release the hounds on you. Don't do anything foolish in a casino ever.
