Asked on Feb 11th, 2015 on General Practice - Florida
More details to this question:
My business and all my personal belongings were lost in the fire set off by Polk Plumbing last Friday. My place of business was right next to them where he killed himself and blew up the building. I have no renters insurance and neglect on the owner is at fault. I tried to have Michael Phillips evicted back in October after he threatened to kill me and the business owner on the other side of me. I called police and filed a report, nobody ever questioned Michael or followed up on the situation. I feared for my life for months whenever at my palce of business and met with the owner and discussed his eviction on several occasions. Now we know what he was capable of. I have lost everything in the fire and am out of business. The owner of the facility has not offered any additional storage or compensation to move forward. I need to file a lawsuit on Polk Plumbing, as well as Vineland Development Inc for the negligenmce of not pursuing the eviction after the threats, Please help.

You have a case.  There just may be no assets to go after.  Any idea what or who caused the explosion? I just read this story - http://www.wtsp.com/story/news/local/2015/02/06/man-fires-on-polk-deputies-sets-fire-to-building/23012479/.  Awful circumstances. You can email me at jmp@floridajustice.com.
