QUESTION

What grounds do I have after finding a bug in a sealed

Asked on Aug 23rd, 2017 on General Practice - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I found a bug (maggot or worm) inside a jar of Whole Foods 365 peppers. I brought the bug and photos to the store on 8/14 and still have the jar at home. They said they would file a claim with corporate, but nobody from the company has been following up with me. I spoke with the store manager again today and she said that she isn't sure if this is something that's ok by FDA standards and that the Whole Foods insurance company will be calling me back tomorrow. Why would the insurance company call me and what should I expect from talking with them?

I don't know if you already heard from the insurance company. You don't describe what damages you suffered other than discovering the bug inside of the jar. It doesn't say you almost ate the bug, or suffered some kind of psychological injury. If you are concerned about a possible offer from the insurance company and discovering what your rights may be, consult with an attorney and have the attorney talk or communicate with the insurance company.
