QUESTION

What is the reason for this court appearance?

Asked on Jan 16th, 2022 on General Practice - Maryland
More details to this question:
I was sued as a sole prop. I didn't contest & a judgment was issued. Plaintiff attempted to lien a bank account but it had been closed. Received a notice to appear for a Zoom hearing with no explanation as to the reason. I assume it has something to do w/them looking for any assets of which I have nothing in my name except an old pickup truck & a beater car. Do I have to show up for this hearing? Should I show up for it?

Well assuming that the Notice or summons to appear for a court hearing is a validly issued service of process upon you, then if you fail to appear, arguably a warrant could be issued for your arrest. I would contact an attorney in the state that you reside to review The documents that have been served on you to determine the validity ,or lack thereof,  of proper service upon you.
