QUESTION

Would like to know if I can possibly sue in this case?

More details to this question:
My mother was abused and neglected by her paid caretaker which also happens to be her daughter. She ended up being hospitalized with a broken hip and other serious health conditions as a result of the neglect. The hospital was fully aware of the neglectful home situation but released her back into the care of the abuser anyway. The abuse and neglect continued, I contacted APS which made the situation worse because the abuser retaliated against me by banning me from the home and disconnecting the security cameras that was in place to watch over my mom. APS allowed this person to take these actions. I have POA over my mom and I am the one who filed the report but the APS caseworker has abruptly ended all communication with me. They will not return any of my calls. This can be really dangerous for my mom. Also as a result of this I was forced to resign as my mom respite provider due to retaliation by her abuser.

You should also file a guardianship case with the probate court in the county where your mother lives.
