QUESTION

Will I have problems getting my immigrant husband to USA?

Asked on Apr 17th, 2021 on Citizenship - Michigan
More details to this question:
I married my husband in his country April 1, 2021. He works in the military in his country. And he agreed to move to USA if he could work. He has plenty skills. Engineer in laying digging and laying pipes in grounds around the world. He is also knows how to clean water so that it's safe. My concerns are that I have bad credit, I don't meet the income requirements and even with my adult daughter willing to co-sponsor, I'm still a little over $3000 short in the income requirements. What should I do before filling a petition for him to come?

A US citizen can sponsor her spouse for a green card, but you will need to show sufficient income or sufficient assets to sponsor him. If your daughters income does not meet the threshold combined with yours, then you will need a different joint sponsor. A joint sponsor does not have to be blood related to you, as long as he/she is a US citizen or green card holder who resides in the USA.
