More details to this question:
Dear legal experts, I have a ten year green card which expired in 2011 . I should like to renew it but I can provide no proof of being in the country. When my marriage failed and I was made redundant from my job I went back to my country of origin for a few months and filed a tax return from there. This was the last tax return sent as I,ve had no income since that time. I returned to the USA entering via land from Canada without any issues, sold my house, car etc, closed my bank accounts and went to a life "on the road" is the best way I can describe it. I had always wanted to write a book and it seemed the time to do it. That book is now written. I left the proceeds from the house with an old friend (now sadly deceased) and visited him when I was short of cash. I am imagining that when I send in my I-90 the USCIS will send rfe's which I cannot possibly provide. I do still have the actual green card and my expired (2013) commercial drivers licence, and no issues of any kind wi
