More details to this question:
Hi, My wife is Australian and I’m a US citizen. We married in Australia in 2014 and continued to live there for almost 4 further years. We have been together for over 9 years. We are now in the US, have been living off substantial savings and have decided we would like to remain here. She is on a B1 tourist visa & I have recently gained employment. We have a permanent address. Her visa expires Oct 22, 2018 and we want to now change her status. Is this possible and if so, is it a problem that we’re applying so close to her visa expiry date? Many thanks.
If u are a US citizen and your wife entered the country legally, which it looks like she did, then she can adjust status to get her green card. You can have counsel anywhere in the USA represent you. Good luck.
