QUESTION

Appeal on green card issue date

Asked on Sep 21st, 2016 on Immigration - Florida
More details to this question:
I've got asylum approval 2010; in 2011 applied for I-485 and got fingerprints taken and after they started background check ... and they lost my case and put it in archive. Me and lawyers went to USCIS numerous times and just now 2016 they scheduled the interview and sent me 2015 green card( 1 year rollback) like it supposed to be.. BUT it was not my fault, I did everything on time and payed all the fees.. Is there any possibility to adjust at least a few years it was just in archive (3yesrs) by their mistake ? Thank you !

You can certainly sue USCIS but you are not likely to win. USCIS is not required to process green card applications within a set period of time.
