QUESTION

Applying for DACA with past arrest

Asked on Oct 26th, 2015 on Immigration - Florida
More details to this question:
Hello. I am reading one of the questions on the application form for consideration for DACA and it asks "Have you ever been arrested for, charged with or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor including incidents handled in juvenile court in USA? Check Yes/no" During my early teens, I was arrested for shoplifting in Fl. I was taken in the police car, fingerprints were taken, I waited in a holding room/ cell. Then my parents came to get me and nothing else happened, no charges, not even a paper/ notice was given to my parents. After the question, the form reads "If you answered yes, you must include a certified court disposition, arrest record, charging document, sentencing record, etc., for each arrest, unless disclosure is prohibited under state law." What should I respond? Thank you in advance.

You should disclose it and it will probably not derail your DACA pursuit.    DACA
