QUESTION

Are these enough documentary evidence for Request For Evidence?

Asked on Jul 16th, 2013 on Immigration - Colorado
More details to this question:
I petitioned for my wife and stepson. My wife was approved in March. However a Request for Evidence was issued for my stepson. Depression, panic attacks, anxiety, and insomnia were one of my hardships, on the RFE the officer asked for documentary evidence and documentary evidence for the financial hardship I'm suffering. I went for evaluation as well as my wife and we were diagnosed with depression, anxiety and insomnia. I have receipts from money I used to send my wife while she was in Mexico with my stepson, and I have others from now, while my stepson is in Mexico. Is this enough? He is now 20 years old, he entered at the age of 9. No criminal record, we submitted diploma and papers work from school, and support letters from coworkers and his manager. I have a debt of almost 2,000 dollars because I have to support him and my wife here in the States. And in the evaluation, the doctor states that my arthritis has worsen, and this is because of the extra hours I work now. I am a US citizen, and my wife now has her Legal Permanent Resident Card (green card). We submitted the waiver on Nov. 2012 so it has been over 10 months since we started this process. Is that evidence enough? I thought it would be an easy process because he has showed good moral character/no criminal background and because he entered at the age of 10. Should I be worried? Now that his mother is a LPR, would that be of big help? We have a 9 year old US citizen daughter with many medical problems, and we showed it would be an Extreme Hardship for me to relocate. Any help would be very helpful.

If you have submitted the necessary documents, you have to await the decision. Processing of Form I-601 often takes a long time. In the interim, if you have additional documents in support of your pending I-601, you can submit them and ask that they be considered in addition to what you have already sent.

These cases are way too complicated to try and answer on a forum such as law Q and A. If you want a serious answer from an attorney schedule an appointment and provide the whole case to them to review.
