QUESTION

B-2 Tourist visa application help

Asked on Jul 01st, 2013 on Immigration - Florida
More details to this question:
My cousin was denied a visa on his interview of May 30th. No reason was stated. I filled out the application on my end. He was simply told he did not qualify for the visa applied for. He can re-apply, but I have no way of finding out why he was denied or if I did something wrong on the application, something technical. How much would it cost for a lawyer to review my application and see what I can do differently. He does not plan to stay. He lives with his mother and only daughter. It is really only for a visit. We were shocked he was denied of all people.

Hello. B2 visa applications are highly discretionary and rarely are you provided specific reasons for a denial. Generally, it will depend on the Consulate/Country, his job, income, family and purpose of visit.
