QUESTION

Can I and my children travel abroad without any problems?

Asked on Jan 18th, 2015 on Immigration - Texas
More details to this question:
My son and daughter have renewed their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) without any issues. I was recently approved an I-130 through a sister who is a US citizen. Is there any possibility for us to travel abroad to our homeland? Thanks.

There is a law that says if you have been out of status for more than a year, and then you leave the USA, you cannot come back for ten years, unless you have advance parole or a green card. An approved I-130 and an approved DACA and a work permit card, is not a green card and is not advance parole. No DACA recipient should leave the USA without an advance parole document.
