can i keep my parmanent residance card eventhough i go oversease?

i am a permanet residence inusa my wife is US citizen & i have 2 kids they are citizen by born , After my wife applied for me i came usa as a permanentresidance.the date i came USA sept.14(2011)and leave Nov13(2011), Then i back june 8 (2011)& leave june(2012)and recently i came back usa feb.22nd (2013), now i am here but planning to go oversease next month to handle my buisness. so basically i visit to see my familly here. now the question is if i go to oversease and if i back usa within 6 months , is it ok? can i still keep parmanent residance ? or i loose my green card ? please help me answers this situation. thank you

You risk abandoning your permanent resident status through extended absences from the US.  Six months is safe, but viewed together, your trips paint a picture of a temporary visitor to the US, rather than someone making the US their permanent home.
