Assuming you are under 18 when your step father married your mother, it is possible to petition only your step father.

yes, if your mother married him before your 18th birthday and you are a US citizen over 21.

It sounds a bit odd but as long as your mother married your stepfather before you turned 18, you can petition for your stepfather.

If you are now an adult US Citizen (over age 21) who had the step-father/step-child relationship legally formed with the potential "immediate relative" Beneficiary prior to your 18th birthday, you may petition for your step-father even if you do not petition for your natural mother.

It really depends. There are many other factors to consider to make a determination of eligibility. For instance, how old are you, did you live with your step-father, how long, when, how old were you when you lived with you step-father.

Its not required for you to petition for both parents. In order to petition for your stepfather, his marriage to your mother must have taken place before you turned 18 years old.
