Can I renew my green card while on probation and how?

More details to this question:
It expires in a year. I have 3 years to go on probation. I was charged with injury to a child by omission.

The concern is whether this offense can be a grounds of deportation based upon "domestic violence." If this was your child, it can cause concern and review. Perhaps, it can be also considered a crime of violence, but more information is needed and this information must come from the record of conviction.
