Asked on Aug 25th, 2011 on Immigration - California
More details to this question:
I enter the U.S. via non immigrant visa on 08/12/11 and my visa will be expiring on 09/13/11. Is there anyway I could not renew my non immigrant visa here in the U.S. while I'm having vacation?

You cannot renew your visa in the U.S. but you can renew your status in the U.s. assuming your I-94 card (little white card) indicates you may remain until September 13. You must have your extension or change of status received by USCIS prior to September 13 so act quickly.

It appears that you have B-1 visa at this time. You may file form I-539 and give good reasons why you want to extend.

No, you must apply at a U.S. Consulate outside the U.S. You can go to Canada if this is a renewal but should contact the Consulate to make sureit will accept your application before you go.
