More details to this question:
Hi, I am 24 years old and I am a US citizen. My mom was illegally in the country when she had me but she left to Mexico voluntarily when I was 6 years old. We all moved to Mexico to live with her but when I was 14 I came back with my dad. He became a US citizen and is still married to my mom but been separated since 2002 & are not in good terms. I want to get my moms papers because she’s been alone in Mexico but I’m not sure if it will be an easy process. She has 4 children but we are all over 18 now.
If you are a US citizen you can sponsor your mother for a green card but if she was illegally here for many years , then she will have to file a waiver to overcome the grounds of being inadmissible. Discuss with a lawyer in your jurisdiction about the chances of success and the steps you need to take.
