I have two uncles who recently got sent to ICE. They are illegal immigrants but have been here since they were children. They aren't a danger to a society but a civilized citizens. Yesterday, A police offer stopped the car they were in because the driver had a broken light in the licence plate. The officer requested they stepped out of the car.. asked a few questions and decided to call immigrant when they had done nothing wrong. MY question is is there a way to fight for their deportation and did the officer have a right to take them out of the vehicle considering that they werent driving just passengers.

They do have a decent chance of avoiding deportation. Much more information is needed to decide on a defense but both may have been illegally detained, they may be subject to the Morton Memo on ICE priorities for detention and be subject to release without bond and they may have Cancellation of Deportation defenses. Call to see what applies to them.
