Can my husband get a work permit if he has a felony?

More details to this question:
My husband was convicted and deported to Mexico. He has a felony 6 he was the driver and got stop and his friend have meth also an electronic weight and a couple of cell phones I am a US citizen and we have 2 kids there is anything we can do? When he got deported he came back. Thank you.
