Can my son help me fix my legal status?

More details to this question:
My son was born here and he is now 19yo, he is serving in the US army. I been here over 20 years and never had any problems with the police and always worked hard to provide my family with everything they need. Can my son help me fix my legal status?

When he turns 21 and if you made a legal entry or are 245i eligible and other conditions met, you may apply. Please consult with an immigration attorney.

Your son needs to turn 21 in order to petition you for a green card. You also must have entered the United States on a visa to be granted the green card without leaving the U.S.

Your son can file a relative petition when he is 21 years old, but you may not be eligible to apply for your green card here in the US. That is determined by your manner of entry and if you were the beneficiary of a filed preference petition or labor certification prior to April 30, 2001. Consult with an experienced immigration attorney.

I would need more information such as how you entered the US and if you have 245i protection. When he is 21 he may be able to help you. I recommend you have a full consult with a competent immigration attorney who can fully look at all aspects of your case.
