I am a USA citizen and I married someone who was permanently deported from the USA does he stands a chance to come back or can never be back? I do not see me living in another country I am a professional and all my family and professional ties are here and so are his children can he ask for forgiveness?. Do I have a right as a USA Citizen to be with my husband in my country?. He was involved in a non violent but serious crime which he paid for with six years of his life, he was a model inmate and was appreciated even by the guards because of the way he conducted himself. However he was deported for life. It's been barely two years I know is too soon to even try but my question is can he or can I appeal on his behalf in due time and when can we actually try.
The best that you can do in my opinion is to obtain a complete copy of your husband's criminal and immigration histories and formally consult with an immigration lawyer. Of the questions that you ask, the only one that I can answer with certainty is that a US citizen does not have the right to have a spouse live in this country just by virtue of the US citizenship status.Due to the limitations of the Lawyers.com Forums, Alan Lee, Esq.'s (the "Firm") participation in responding to questions posted herein does not constitute legal advice, nor legal representation of the person or entity posting a question.
