Can someone get married in a different state?

More details to this question:
Can someone from a different state get married in another state and submit d marriage certificate to the immigration from the state his spouse is from? I will be glad if my question is answered.

Yes, you can marry in any state in the United States. Marriages entered to in any state in United States including the Dist. of Columbia is recognized by DHS for immigration purposes. But note marriage requirements often vary from state to state (for instance, the minimum marriage age). You should therefore inquire from County Clerk's office, City Hall in the state where you intend to marry regarding specific requirements.

It does not matter in which state you got married, so long as the marriage is legal, and all formalities are observed.

If a marriage is entered into according to the laws of a particular state or country, that marriage is deemed valid in other states and in other countries.

Anyone can get married in any state they choose so long as they qualify in the state where they get married.

In general you can marry in any state as there is no requirement that you must be a resident of that state. As long both of you show up to register the marriage, you should be fine.

The Immigration Service accepts marriage certificates from every State or country.
