Can you immigrate to the United States after getting a DUI?

More details to this question:
If my boyfriend had a DUI and he leaves voluntary can he ever have a chance to get documented? He was taken in for a DUI. They told him he had the option of seeing the judge which might take up to 3 months or he could leave voluntary. He was released and went home to Mexico. Does he have an opportunity to become legal after we get married

These are complicated cases and will probably require a waiver of any overstay as well as a showing at his medical exam that he is not an alcoholic or addict. You definitely need immigration counsel to advise you through the process.
