QUESTION

Citizenship for my Daughter

Asked on Apr 18th, 2013 on Immigration - Massachusetts
More details to this question:
I am an American citizen since birth and I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter in the Philippines that I would like to have her become an American citizen as soon as possible. I am not sure if she can automatically become a citizen due to me being her biological father... or perhaps she is already an American citizen but not on paper?I would love for her to be able to travel to the USA and to live with me for several months of the year. In short, this is the story how it went down... In 2009 I petitioned my fiance to come to the USA on a K-1 fiance visa. Although we never got married ¿she did return to Philippines however, while still in the USA she got pregnant. The baby was conceived in the USA but born in the Philippines. Her Philippine birth certificate reads Maria Theresa Estrosos Harrington. I had to send an affidavit to the Philippines stating that I was the biological father so they can use my sur name on her birth certificate. Please Help

Your daughter is not a citizen just because you are her father.  Your daughter would have to live with you in the US while you have custody of her before that could happen.  Here is a link with more information. http://1.usa.gov/1GBzLU   If you just want her to visit you, she could do so on a visitor visa.
