Asked on Sep 28th, 2024 on Immigration - North Dakota
More details to this question:
I have a series of question; I am on L1B visa and have two kids with my wife. My wife and kids are on L2 Visa. If we get divorced, how can I keep my wife and kids in USA? I am also in the process for green card application as a family. How will that affect our process and also our residence situation if they stay here in USA?

Generally if an L2 get's a divorce, their status ends on the day of the divorce since the individual came in through their L1B for example spouse. The L2 will need to depart the U.S. or find a way to change their status to another nonimmigrant status.
