DMV registration impact on i485 interview?

More details to this question:
my I485 under NIW/EB2 is pending due for interview after my i140 case was approved.. i have one concern. I have car and DL both registered to CT state and moved to NY while back. do i need to reg to NY before going to interview. My lawyer said DMV law in state law not immigration law but still i need to learn from you guys. please help.

You need to update your driver's license once you moved. You have to change your address. If your driver's license show a CT address but you are called for an interview in NY you will be sent to CT for an interview and vice versa. So your DL has to be from the state where you actually live.
