QUESTION

Do 3+4 months of absence from US delay citizenship application?

Asked on Nov 10th, 2015 on Immigration - Louisiana
More details to this question:
I've been a permanent resident for almost 5 years. Out of those five years, I spent 7 months abroad, during which, however, I briefly came back to the US for a week. My question: do those 7 (non-continuous) months count toward the five years, or do I have to wait and apply 7 months later? (I don't think this is relevant, but I have previously lived in the US for a very long time with a student visa, F1.) Thank you very much! M
