Does green card need to be renew during the citizen application?

More details to this question:
My green card is going in to expire on November, and I applied my citizenship on August. It may take a while for citizenship being approved. If it is not approved before my green card expiration data. Do I need to renew it?

Hi. You do not. You will need the expired card for the interview. You cannot travel outside the US since you don't have a valid green card. Or, if you need proof of status for work, you will not have it. However, the CIS will still process the naturalization even if it is expired. Good Luck!
