I am currently preparing the I-130 for my wife. I am US citizen and she is currently in the US on another visa type. I am a bit confused about the forms and how to file them. I know that we have to file I-130 with I-130A. I know we can file I-130 and I-485 separately, however, it is recommended to file them together. If we file I-130 and I-130A now, can we file I-485 and I-864 later? Or do I have to file I-130, I-130A, and I-864 together? If I need financial support from my relatives for I-864, do I just file this form twice with different inputs?
If you're not sure what to do, retain counsel to represent you throughout the year long process. Some of us charge a very affordable flat fee for representation from 'start to finish'. Any mistakes can result in months long delays or outright denial. Good luck.
