More details to this question:
I have B1/B2 visa and have visited the states twice, first visit was in 2013 for two weeks, the second was in Jan 2016 for six months. i want to revisit the states again to spend the holidays with fiends in Dec for a month. do you think I'll face hard time with CBP officer at airport or my entry will be denied ?

As long as you didn't overstay the term of the permit, you should be okay to revisit. If there is a problem it likely won't be because of the Visa but because of security.
