How can a citizen by birth waive his citizenship?

More details to this question:
If I was born in the US to non-US parents and then left when I was 3 years old, am I an American citizen? If so, is there a way to waive my citizenship besides the expatriation procedure?

Yes, you are a US citizen, unless your parents had a "G or A" visa. If you want to renounce, you can do that via the US Embassy in your home country.
