You will need to verify that Legacy INS has proof of your departure more than twenty years ago. You may also have to prove rehabilitation, where you were convicted of a crime that caused your deportation. Finally, you must be petitioned by your daughter if and when she is over twenty one years old unless you want to wait years, perhaps decades. I strongly recommend a teleconference with a candid, competent and experienced immigration attorney before any action is taken. Your deportation happened before the 1996 laws went into effect, so care should be taken in answering your questions. Good luck. The above is general information, not legal advice, and does not create an attorney client relationship.
