How can I go from an L1B visa to a Green Card?

I am working for company A with L1B visa type from past 1 month and now company B wants to sponsor me Green Card. will this be possible. If so is there any time limit to stay in present company. If so what is the time limit and what are the steps in proceeding for green card.

The processing times for both EB-2 and EB-3 are outrageous as in many years. You may want to keep your L1B and consider other options before you changes employers.
