How do I get permanent citizenship for my husband who is on Deferred Action?

More details to this question:
My husband and I have been together for over 2 years now. We have a 1 year old daughter. I am a US citizen. He has the Deferred Action For childhood arrivals work permit. I am interested in getting him a permanent citizenship. What forms do I need to fill out to do this?

You can only petition for his permanent residence and he can obtain it if he is eligible. Just because he qualified for DACA does not mean he is eligible for permanent residence since the criteria for each process are very different. If he entered the US unlawfully, under the current immigration laws, he is not eligible to legalize his status within the US.

You can file an I-130 visa petition for him now, but if he entered the US without inspection, he will need an I-601 waiver before getting an immigrant visa. He should consult an immigration attorney.

You will need to file an I-130, and possibly some other documents, depending.
