My girlfriend have been deported in 2004 of my asylum case, I am U.S. citizen, now I would like to married her that I have been with her for 5 years, can I get her legal status without she has to go back to her own country or what is the best way to get her permanent legal status? Thank you.
If your girlfriend was deported, she should not be in the country. If she is still here, and she marries you, you guys can try filing motion to reopen. Consult with an Immigration attorney.
