Asked on Jan 10th, 2015 on Immigration - Texas
More details to this question:
My brother filled I-130 for me when I am outside of US. Currently, I am working inside US under the visa L1B. I want to update this form with I-94 info and some relative information about my employer. My thinking is with the updated information, it may my document will be process faster. So, please tell me what I should do now? Thank you so much.

i 130 is a family based immigration. When the form is approved, it takes years (8-10) for siblings immigration to happen (for the priority date to become current). your employer's info will not help unless your employer wants to sponsor you: then the employer has to file a separate petition.

You can change your address for the I-130 online at https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do. However, updating your address will not speed up the process, because you must still wait for your priority date to become current before you can apply for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status if you are in the United States at the time.
