If you are an LPR, the process will take several years at this point- about 3. When you become a USC, then the process will be under one year.

About 3 years. This can change - you need to check the Visa Bulletin each month.

If you petition your wife as a permanent resident, it will take approximately 2-3 years before an immigrant visa becomes available to her. You can file and later "upgrade" the petition once you became a U.S. citizen. This will significantly lower the waiting time to about 3-4 months if she is in the U.S. Until that happens, the petition itself does not legalize her stay in the U.S.

It takes about 3 to 4 years. So, you should become a naturalized citizen as soon as you are eligible.

When you file for your wife she will get a place in line in the FB-2a category. Depending on what her country of birth is there is a several year wait before these cases can be completed as there must a visa at the time of final stage processing. When you file she gets a Priority Date. Each month the Department of State publishes a Visa Bulletin which looks like this and you can check what date they are working on. Once you become a U.S. citizen your wife's case gets upgraded if you request it to immediate relative and the place in line won't matter but it will be good that you already have the I-130 approval. About three years. If she is outside of the US, it will take additional 6-12 months, depending on where she lives, to complete the consular processing.
