A Fiance Petition needs to be prepared. This is a petition that will allow your fianc?e to come to the U.S. in a relatively short period of time. Usually, it takes around 6 to 9 months for the petition to be approved at immigration in the United States. Subsequently, the approval would be sent to the U.S. Consulate or Embassy in your fianc?e's home country. When your fiance comes to the U.S., you will have ninety days to get married. Our firm can prepare the entire Fiance Petition and make it so it goes smoothly and correctly. You have to have physically seen your Fiance in the last two years.

U.S. Immigration takes 5 months to process a fiancee visa application. If the application was filled out right and submitted with all the necessary documents, and if neither your boyfriend nor you have any disqualifications, it will be approved.

If the application was prepared by an experienced immigration lawyer it should process in about 2-3 months at which point you would recieve your entry visa good for 90-days only. You would need to marry in that period ad then have your, then husband, file for your green card with the help of an immigration lawyer. Call one of the immigration lawyers here to discuss your case and see if they would be willing to take the case through the Green Card process for you.

The K-1 Fiance visa filed with USCIS by your US Citizen boyfriend is normally processed through the applicable USCIS Service Center and varies in time of adjudication/approval/denial depending upon the current backlog in the number of cases being processed by the government. This period normally can run from 5 months to over a year. Once your US Citizen petitioning boyfriend receives an I-797 Approval Notice from USCIS you will need to set up a consular appointment with the US Consular post in your home country which was designated in his petition and follow the specific instructions given to you by the US Consular authorities for the actual issuance of the visa for your subsequent travel and entry to the United States [with the specific requirement that you marry the Petitioner within ninety (90) days of the visa issuance]. Once you are married and residing in the United States you should consult and engage an experienced immigration attorney to help you process your various concurrent spousal adjustment of status petitions for subsequent receipt of your "green card" (I-551).

It usually takes about 9-12 months from start to visa issuance at the Consulate for the fiance visa process. You will need to wait until you are contacted by the National Visa Center after the initial petition is approved. At that time, both your fianc? in the US as well as you will need to submit additional forms and supporting documentation as well as payment of visa fees in order for your interview to be scheduled in the US Consulate in your home country.
