It will be a few years if you are over the age of 21. The typical processing times are about 4-6 years for a son/daughter of a US citizen who is over the age of 21.

The answer to you question depends upon your age and if you are or are not married. The VISA BULLETIN (a document issues monthly by the U.S. Department of State) assigns priority dates to family and employment immigration cases on a monthly basis. Once we have additional information we can provide a rough estimate of the wait times per the VISA BULLETIN.

You need to give more information regarding how old you are and if you are married. You can review both the Department of State Visa Bulletin and the uscis.gov website for processing estimates.

You have not given sufficient information necessary to answer your question. A petition may be approved but, unless that petition is current in its visa category, you cannot apply for adjustment of status [assuming you are physically in the US], nor can you apply for an immigrant visa at the US post overseas. To know for sure if your approved petition is now current, you must give information about your specifics visa category. This depends amongst other things, on your age, and marital status and your country of birth when your mother filed the petition, such information not having changed since.

It depends in what family preference category you are in. You need to wait for the priority date to become current before you can apply for visa, unless you are under 21 or under the CSPA you are. Consult with an attorney.
